SONOMA Series introduces a new generation of modular, high-performance vertical form fill and seal machines designed for both traditional and delicate products.
These machines employ continuous motion technology, which ensures uninterrupted movement without pauses. With a tested speed of 200 mechanical cycles per minute, they offer exceptional performance. One notable innovation is the continuous sealing system, which enables high-speed production while minimizing the negative impact of product impact on closed sealing jaws or the seal itself, often encountered with standard intermittent machines.
• Parts in contact with the product are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, ensuring hygienic and durable operation.
• Supports various bag types, including pillow bags, gusset bags, block bottom bags, string bags, and more.
• The main machine movements, such as the horizontal sealing group and film driving group, are powered by independent brushless servo motors.
• The motion controller system serves as the central controller, coordinating all servo motors, input-output functions, and line control, effectively replacing the need for a separate PLC.
• Continuous vertical and horizontal sealing mechanisms ensure 100% leak-proof seals and smooth sealing operations.
• Equipped with a 12″ industrial PC man-machine interface running on a Microsoft Windows XP operating system, the machine provides a user-friendly platform to manage all machine parameters. It offers multiple serial lines, USB inputs, Ethernet ports, and a parallel port for easy remote access and software updates.
• The P.I.D. Heating System ensures precise and stable heat sealing in both horizontal and vertical directions.
• Film cut-off is controlled by a photo eye for registered films or an incremental encoder for neutral films.
• The auto-film centering system adjusts the independent roll support to automatically align the film on the tube collar.
• An out-of-film signal triggers an automatic machine stop and facilitates quick connection between the finished roll and a new roll.
• The auto-film unwinding unit is controlled by an expansion type reel-holder shaft with an independent motor.
• The self-centering drive belt, regulated by adjustable pneumatic pressure, feeds the film with precision.
• The film tension sensor ensures optimal tension is maintained.
• A movable roller arm provides continuous and smooth tension for consistent bag forming and registration.
• Safety features include automatic machine stoppage in case of incorrect closure of safety doors or operational malfunctions, with error messages displayed on the screen.
• The machine is adaptable to different filling systems, such as multi-head weighers, linear weighers, volumetric dosing, auger fillers, piston fillers, and more.
• Compatible with various wrapping materials, including polypropylene, laminates, coupled materials, barrier films, water-soluble films, films of biological origin, and other heat-sealing materials like polyethylene.
