The unit is designed for ultra-pasteurization of milk, dairy products and products that require pasteurization at high temperatures (UHT processing) a closed flow from the storage tank to stop the vital activity of pathogenic forms of bacteria and heat-resistant microbes with subsequent product recuperative cooling or using the cooling section to the temperature of the subsequent technological process.
The product is fed to the receiver tank, where the level sensors maintain the operating level of the product. From the receiver tank the product is pumped to the regeneration section(s) of the multisectional plate machine for preheating to 55-65°C and then sent for homogenization. Then the product is passed through the heat exchanger to the ultra-pasteurization section, where it is finally heated to 142°C with superheated water, prepared in boilers installed in the unit, heated by high-temperature elements (which can heat up to 650°C). The hot water flows into the pasteurization section and heats the product to the desired temperature. The pasteurization takes place at this temperature (standard 2…5 sec). After the ultrapasteurization section the product must be cooled quickly: firstly by the incoming product flow in the recuperation section and then in the cooling section by ice water or other refrigerant to the required temperature.
